SOMETHING BLUE by Jacqueline de Jonge
Since I bought this pattern for future use to expand and make into a full size quilt, it is difficult to review just now.. ( thus the 4stars) At the moment, I am working on the Enchanting Stars pattern, to make a wall hanging, which is very much the wrong way round in order of difficulty! Initially, the patterns seem very overwhelming and one really needs to take the time to “digest” all the details. Provided each step is followed in sequence, carefully and double checking each cutting and subsequent piecing instruction, it looks to be relatively clear. I am not one to use patterns generally in quilting , so this is a new experience for me, having decided I needed to challenge my skills a bit more, therefore I’m not very sure how these patterns compare to others. I do know that this will require concentration, taking it in small chunks, as well as a lot of time and patience. A quilt in a day/week, it is definitely not!! But….it certainly looks much easier than the pattern I am currently undertaking and Sue from Passion4quilting has been very willing to offer advice and answer a couple of questions by phone which is reassuring
